One of the key topics discussed was the admissions goal aimed at “selecting the elite” and “holistic admissions.” Accordingly, in the short term, the University will continue to use standardized exams tailored to specific sectors/groups of sectors suitable to actual admissions conditions. In the long term, the direction of developing separate competency assessments aligned with the training objectives of each field/group of sectors, each discipline/academic program is emphasized to ensure the right selection with entry quality meeting the University’s training requirements.

The roundtable also candidly pointed out several existing issues such as unstable admissions policies, changes in admissions regulations, limited autonomy in admissions, and significant discrepancies in admission scores between fields. These are issues that need further research and improvement in the future to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the admissions process.
