NEU Leaders Meet and Encourage Faculty and Staff on Assignment in Ha Nam Province Ahead of the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam
On the afternoon of June 25, ahead of the 2025 national high school graduation exam, leaders of National Economics University (NEU) met with and encouraged faculty and staff carrying out duties at exam sites across Ha Nam Province.
Visiting and encouraging faculty and staff at the exam sites were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, President of NEU; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; and representatives of the leadership of schools, departments, faculties, institutes, and centers.
For the 2025 national high school graduation exam, NEU continued to follow the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)’s directives to higher education institutions and was assigned to inspect exam invigilation at 24 exam sites in Ha Nam Province. With a strong commitment to ensuring absolute security and safety for the exam, the NEU staff delegation received training and was fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to inspect exam invigilation. This preparation aimed to ensure that all inspection delegation members thoroughly understood and correctly and strictly followed exam rules and regulations, and performed their assigned duties with excellence throughout the exam.

The 2025 national high school graduation exam differs from those of previous years in several notable ways. This year’s exam has more candidates and is being held for students following both the 2018 General Education Curriculum and the 2006 General Education Curriculum.
This is also the first year that the national high school graduation exam and admissions to the first grade of each level of general education are being conducted under the 2018 General Education Curriculum, with many changes. They are taking place as the country reorganizes its local government apparatus into a two-tier system and makes changes to the organization of its system of inspection agencies.
Starting this year, high school graduation exam candidates will have their continuous assessment scores (school records) and exam results combined at a 50-50 ratio to determine graduation eligibility. Foreign language certificates will continue to be used for exam exemptions when determining graduation eligibility, but will no longer be converted into a score of 10 as previously. Bonus points for vocational certificates will be eliminated for all candidates, and bonus points for information technology certificates, foreign language certificates, and intermediate vocational diplomas will be eliminated for continuing education candidates. Foreign nationals will be allowed to use Vietnamese language certificates to obtain an exemption from the Literature exam when determining high school graduation eligibility.
