The University has purchased 467 new English-language e-books for use as textbooks in nearly 500 courses for full-time students;

The University announces the following training and guidance on accessing NEU’s electronic resources for lecturers, full-time students, and interested readers:

1. Content

Speaker: Bui Tuan Linh, Training and User Guidance Specialist

Part 1: General introduction to the databases, access methods, and scope of accessible content. The databases include:

• ProQuest Ebook Central online database of electronic textbooks and monographs
• Cambridge electronic textbook database
• Sage multidisciplinary electronic journal database
• Emerald management and economics electronic journal database and electronic case study database

Part 2: Live demonstration of how to access and use each database through its interface. Introduction to key features, including:

• Homepage interface
• Searching and filtering search results
• Interface and tools within a content item
• Interface and tools on a title page
• Questions and answers

2. Training Format, Date, and Schedule

– Format: Online via the LMS and Microsoft Teams systems.
