A view of the closing session
After more than a week of official work, the external evaluation team reviewed supporting documentation, held discussions and exchanges, met with and interviewed all stakeholders, and toured the University’s facilities.
At the closing session of the external evaluation for quality accreditation of academic programs, experts representing each team responsible for the respective groups of academic programs presented their site visit findings. The reports identified strengths and recommendations for further improving the quality of the academic programs in terms of objectives, admissions, program structure, academic program content, the learning environment, and quality assurance.
The experts noted that NEU has high-quality lecturers who are dedicated to supporting students. In addition, students have strong English proficiency and are fully equipped with skills ranging from soft skills to IT skills that meet international standards. Objectivity, dynamism, and continual adaptation to change are also ensured in keeping with the criterion of “placing learners at the center of education.”
In addition, the FIBAA expert team identified several areas requiring attention in the coming period to help the University improve its systems and activities and keep pace with society’s needs, contributing to NEU’s development as a multidisciplinary research university spanning multiple fields.
On behalf of FIBAA and the evaluation team, Prof. Dr. Sabine Haller, representing the FIBAA expert team, thanked NEU’s leaders, lecturers, staff, and students who participated in this evaluation. Prof. Sabine Haller expressed her hope that the FIBAA experts’ feedback and assessments would contribute to NEU’s continued development and help deliver greater value to learners.
