In his concluding remarks at the conference, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that efforts to prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices during the term of the 13th National Party Congress had entered a new stage of development, becoming more in-depth, systematic, and coordinated. The Steering Committee, competent agencies, ministries, sectors, and localities had vigorously pursued the detection and handling of violations, achieving clear results; many particularly serious and complex cases and incidents had been handled strictly, in accordance with the law, and transparently.

General Secretary To Lam called for continued efforts to step up the prevention of and fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices in a systematic, scientific manner, without pause, with no off-limits areas and no exceptions.

The Steering Committee, competent agencies, ministries, sectors, and localities must recognize efforts to prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices as a central political task.

The central authorities’ resolutions, directives, and regulations must be translated into concrete measures and implemented in a coordinated manner to foster a high degree of unity in awareness and action. Efforts to prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices must extend to every grassroots Party organization and Party cell, under the oversight of officials, Party members, and the people.
