National Economics University (NEU) Collaborates with Tsinghua University (Shenzhen) to Enhance International Academic and Research Cooperation

On April 23, 2026,  National Economics University held a working session with Tsinghua University (Shenzhen, China) to discuss and promote opportunities for collaboration in academic programs and academic research.

Overview of the Working Session

Attending the session, from National Economics University, were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – Chairman of the Academic and Training Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh – Dean, International School of Management and Economics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Huong – Dean of Graduate School; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc – Dean, Center of Advanced Education Programs; Dr. Pham Sy Long – Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department.

From the partner side were: Prof. Zuo Jian’e – Vice President of the Tsinghua International Graduate School; along with representatives responsible for global cooperation and international programs.

During the session, leaders from both sides discussed potential cooperation in areas such as joint research among faculty members, student and postgraduate exchanges, implementation of international study programs, as well as promoting short-term teaching visits by faculty members. The discussions focused on leveraging each side’s strengths to build in-depth collaborative programs that align with the trend of internationalizing higher education.

Leaders from both universities expressed high appreciation for the potential of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of strengthening academic connections, knowledge exchange, and developing high-quality human resources in the context of increasingly deep international integration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to proceed with signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tsinghua University (Shenzhen), focusing on implementing faculty and postgraduate student exchange programs. This is considered an important step, opening up opportunities for substantial collaboration, contributing to enhancing the quality of education and research, and strengthening the international standing of both educational institutions in the future.
