On the morning of February 5th, 2026, the National Economics University held a meeting with students to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse and presented over 200 gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

Attendees included: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu – Vice Director of the University; Ms. Nguyen Hoang Ha – Head of the Department of Political Affairs and Student Management; along with faculty members representing the leadership of the Faculties/Institutes and students of the University.

Promoting the spirit of mutual support and fostering solidarity and sharing among students of the National Economics University, Professor Nguyen Thanh Hieu emphasized at the meeting that, through practical observation, many students at the University still face difficult circumstances but have the will to excel in their studies (some are orphans, some are from impoverished ethnic minority groups, some are from very small ethnic minority groups in particularly difficult areas, some are disabled students, some work while studying to support their families, and many have families who have suffered losses after natural disasters and floods…). Therefore, the University decided to organize the “Meeting with Students on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026,” a meaningful activity with profound humanistic and social significance.

With over 200 underprivileged students receiving gifts today, I understand that your lives aren’t always smooth sailing. You face difficulties and challenges. But I believe that with the willpower and determination of youth, you will overcome them all. Today, we are here not only to celebrate the Lunar New Year together but also to encourage and motivate each other. You are the outstanding children of our country, the future of our nation. Your success is our pride.

Sharing their thoughts at the meeting, the students said that the gifts and the care and encouragement from their teachers today have given them the strength to successfully complete their studies and training. They promised to strive to study and train themselves to become useful citizens for society, to promote the spirit of studiousness, solidarity, mutual support, and to build a healthy learning environment.

With the affection and care of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the teachers of the National Economics University for students in difficult circumstances, the students have been able to feel more secure and enjoy a happy Tet holiday. Although the material value is not great, each gift given contains profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the responsibility, companionship, and commitment of the University in ensuring the welfare and support of its students. This is not only a timely source of encouragement but also a strong motivation for the students to continue striving, overcoming difficulties, persevering in their studies and training, and gradually realizing their personal development goals and making positive contributions to the community and society.
