Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho highlighted the many successes of the partnership among NEU, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Ernst & Young Vietnam over the past 13 years. He affirmed that this collaborative program has brought many benefits to NEU students, giving them access to the ACCA international qualification, practical skills, and internship opportunities at one of the world’s leading auditing firms. As a result, NEU students in general, and those majoring in accounting, auditing, and finance in particular, can confidently enter the labor market with solid knowledge and experience.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Duc Tho affirmed that the “Pathway to Becoming a Strategic Leader” scholarship program clearly demonstrates the partners’ investment in developing future talent. The Chair of the NEU University Council expressed his hope for continued support from ACCA and EY to expand the scale and improve the quality of collaborative programs, helping enhance education quality and develop the accounting and auditing sector in Vietnam.

To Quoc Hung, Country Manager of ACCA Vietnam, speaks at the event

Also speaking at the event, To Quoc Hung, Country Manager of ACCA Vietnam, noted that while recruitment demand is currently high, the job market also presents many challenges, particularly for young graduates with limited work experience and practical knowledge. In the future, students will face not only enormous workloads but also the need to continually adapt to new requirements and technologies. This requires them to have not only solid professional knowledge but also a comprehensive set of skills, including creative thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and, especially, adaptability to change. In practice, successful leaders of the future will be not only professionally competent but also far-sighted, able to adapt quickly to market fluctuations and make sound decisions in complex situations. Throughout their studies and careers, students will encounter many difficulties and obstacles. However, these very challenges will help them develop determination, resilience, and maturity.

Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of Assurance Services at EY Vietnam, speaks at the event

Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of Assurance Services at EY Vietnam, outlined the profound transformations currently taking place in the accounting and auditing sector, particularly digitalization and the application of artificial intelligence. Leading companies such as EY are pioneering the adoption of these technologies in their workflows. This means that employees need to develop more advanced professional skills to perform work that cannot be done by machines. These may include the ability to analyze complex data, think creatively to solve business problems, or apply soft skills such as communication and teamwork.

Nguyen Manh Hung also affirmed that the rounds of this scholarship competition would give NEU students opportunities to gain additional knowledge and a deeper understanding of the accounting and auditing sector, preparing them for the journey ahead.
