On the morning of November 8, 2024, National Economics University (NEU) held a review and awards ceremony for the “Check-in NEU” ao dai contest, marking Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20 and celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20.

An overview of the program

Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; Dr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the NEU Trade Union; representatives of the leadership of schools, departments, faculties, institutes, and centers; and many University teachers and Trade Union members.

To mark the 94th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20 and look ahead to the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20, NEU organized a series of activities to enrich the cultural and spiritual lives of the University’s faculty, staff, and public employees, including the “Check-in NEU” ao dai contest.

The “Check-in NEU” ao dai contest was organized to preserve beautiful images and honor the value and distinctive features of the ao dai, part of Vietnam’s cultural heritage. Since its launch, the contest attracted interest and participation from many female public employees and workers, encouraging the wider adoption of the ao dai as attire regularly worn during holidays and important University events. Over more than half a month, the NEU Trade Union received numerous beautiful and meaningful photographs featuring creative settings and backdrops, capturing flowing ao dai at many locations across NEU. Each photograph told its own story and conveyed heartfelt messages of affection from the Trade Union branches.

The “Check-in NEU” ao dai contest concluded successfully. Congratulations to the Trade Union branches and individuals who received these special awards. May the University’s female teachers always look graceful, elegant, and beautiful in their ao dai at NEU.
