On October 17, 2026, over 1,200 alumni from Cohort 44 returned to the National Economics University to attend the 20th Anniversary Reunion. After two decades, the reunion brought emotional moments as alumni reunited with their teachers and friends, reminiscing about their youthful memories and sharing their journeys of growth since leaving the university. The event was even more meaningful as it coincided with the 70th anniversary of the National Economics University’s establishment and development (1956–2026).

Twenty years since leaving the university is a journey marked by many changes and growth for each member of Cohort 44. From students who once studied together, participated in collective activities, and cherished memorable moments under the roof of the National Economics University, each has chosen their own path, gradually affirming themselves in their careers and lives. Despite the passage of time, memories of the university, the teacher-student bond, and friendships remain the ties that connect members, becoming an indispensable part of each person’s growth journey.
The reunion after 20 years not only signifies a meeting to reminisce but also an occasion for alumni to express gratitude to their teachers – those who imparted knowledge, guided them, and laid the foundation for their career paths. Returning to their alma mater, each member has the opportunity to reflect on their journey, share stories from their work and life, and continue nurturing relationships formed during their student years. These connections not only preserve the value of friendship but also open up opportunities for networking, collaboration, and mutual support in the future.

Their contributions demonstrate the affection, responsibility, and attachment of alumni generations to the University, while also providing motivation for students to strive in their studies, training, and personal development. This is also a testament to the spirit of sharing and continuing the tradition of alumni community support for the educational and developmental mission of the National Economics University.

The reunion holds even greater significance as it takes place during the year when the National Economics University (NEU) celebrates its 70th anniversary of establishment and development. Over seven decades, the University has educated numerous generations of staff, experts, managers, and entrepreneurs, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country. Each generation of alumni is a part of this journey, carrying the knowledge, values, and imprints nurtured under the university’s roof, continuing to demonstrate their capabilities and resilience in various fields of work.
For the alumni of Cohort 44, returning after two decades is also an occasion to take pride in the University’s traditions, cherish the values that have contributed to their personal growth, and affirm their attachment to the place where their career journey began. The full attendance of members at the Reunion contributes to spreading the spirit of connection to the alma mater, while also strengthening the bond between alumni and the University, as well as among different generations of students.
The Cohort 44 Reunion program concluded in a warm, friendly, and emotional atmosphere. Twenty years is a memorable milestone for each person to reflect on their past journey, to further appreciate the teacher-student relationships, friendships, and youthful memories. From the meaningful reunion to practical contributions to the University and students, Cohort 44 alumni continue to affirm their connection to their alma mater through concrete actions, contributing to fostering positive values for the community.
