Representing NEU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President; Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs; representatives of the leadership of schools, departments, faculties, institutes and centers; representatives of socio-political organizations; and nearly 1,600 students from Cohort 66 of the full-time undergraduate program.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of the University, delivers remarks.

Students happily and enthusiastically receive lucky money and New Year wishes from the University leadership.

The 2025 national defense and security education course for NEU students takes place over nearly three weeks, from February 5 through February 19. On their first day at the Center for National Defense and Security Education, students will be briefed on the course objectives and tasks, as well as its rules and regulations, to help them quickly adapt to the military environment.

At the Center, NEU students are also organized into companies, sharing meals and accommodation and studying and training together across the lecture halls, training grounds and shared dormitory facilities. This is an opportunity for students to improve their physical fitness, develop their moral character and cultivate daily habits that reflect a soldier’s discipline and bearing.

NEU students’ beaming smiles mingle with anxiety and nervous excitement as they prepare to study and train in a disciplined, orderly military environment that promises to give them unforgettable memories. As the students visit Phu Tho for the first time and undertake national defense and security education at Hung Vuong University, it is hoped that the warmth and care of the teachers at the Center will leave each NEU student with many memories and the very best impressions. Wishing you all a rewarding course of study and enriching, exciting experiences!
