Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong warmly welcomed the delegates, guests, and all the new bachelor’s graduates and new students attending that day’s event.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong shared that Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and NEU signed a cooperation agreement in 2007, laying the foundation for a strong and lasting partnership. Since then, the joint bachelor’s and master’s program in Actuarial Science and Finance has been implemented and has recorded many impressive achievements in admissions and education. Cooperation between the two universities not only benefits both institutions but also helps improve the quality of education for students, strengthens research collaboration, and creates more positive impacts on society. As of 2025, 120 students had enrolled in this program, which also laid the groundwork for the English-taught Actuary program, with degrees awarded by NEU since 2018.
On behalf of NEU’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong congratulated the program’s 11 new bachelor’s graduates on their outstanding completion of the course and receipt of their prestigious bachelor’s degrees. He affirmed that their success that day was a well-deserved result of their dedicated efforts in studying at NEU. Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong expressed his hope that the new graduates would continue to strive and work even harder to complete their master’s program in France with distinction and soon become globally respected experts in insurance and financial analysis.
Addressing the new students of Cohort 10, Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong affirmed that becoming students in an international program would offer many opportunities and challenges, enabling them to realize their full potential and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become global citizens. He also expressed his hope that the new students would achieve their dreams, fulfill their academic goals, and embark on a meaningful new chapter in their lives.

Nguyen Manh The, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematical Economics, also congratulated the students on passing the selection process with outstanding results to officially join the program and on achieving results they could be proud of in the early stages of their studies. Dr. Nguyen Manh The expressed his hope that what they learn and experience in the coming period would help them make sound choices, provide them with a good education, and support their more well-rounded development. Addressing the new bachelor’s graduates, Dr. Nguyen Manh The expressed his confidence: “As you embark on the next year and a half in France to complete your master’s program, this journey will bring more challenges, but I believe you will continue to work hard, stay focused, and persevere to reach your goal successfully.”
