Under the close direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Presidents, key tasks for the first quarter of 2025 were largely completed, demonstrating steady progress. A major highlight was the ceremony announcing the Prime Minister’s Decision to reorganize National Economics University as a multidisciplinary university, marking an important milestone in building a smart university and creating a modern, high-quality learning environment for learners. The 2025 Conference of Delegates of Public Employees and Workers and the Lunar New Year gathering for At Ty (the Year of the Snake) were held in a dignified and warm atmosphere, fostering solidarity and enthusiasm and encouraging efforts to achieve outstanding results in the new year’s tasks. Youth Month activities, celebrations of International Women’s Day on March 8, and sports tournaments were lively and large in scale, enriching cultural and recreational life across the University. International cooperation was effectively expanded with domestic and overseas partners. The career and employment event NEU Career Week 2025 attracted 50 participating businesses, expanding employment opportunities for students. Admissions work proceeded promptly and professionally with the issuance of the 2025 Full-Time Undergraduate Admissions Proposal and Plan, the swift incorporation of new regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), and diversified counseling activities, aiming for an effective admissions season with outstanding incoming student quality. The use of information technology was strengthened through upgrades to software such as Cyberwork, TVTS ORLABNEU, and NEU Reader, providing optimal support for management, teaching, and learning. Teaching and learning continued in a disciplined manner immediately after the Tet holiday, ensuring that academic programs remained on schedule.

Alongside the activities and tasks completed, some work in the first quarter remained delayed or unfinished against the planned schedule. Implementation of the proposals to establish the School of Advanced Studies and Excellence and the International School was behind schedule, falling short of expectations for expanding high-quality education models. A framework for operating and utilizing the canteen in the courtyard of the Population Building had not been developed, creating difficulties in service management. Disorderly parking of cars and motorcycles frequently occurred around the Central Building, affecting order on campus. Specific regulations on naming locations within the University after sponsors had not yet been established. These shortcomings require NEU to develop specific and timely solutions in the coming period.
