Career Guidance Day – ISME CAREER FAIR 2025
On the afternoon of April 13, 2025, the Institute of International Education, National Economics University (NEU), organized Career Guidance Day – ISME CAREER FAIR 2025, attracting businesses, experts, and a large number of students from the Institute of International Education as well as NEU.

ISME Career Fair 2025 attracted businesses from various sectors
In career development, connecting with businesses early and experiencing real working environments are key to helping students bridge the gap between the classroom and the labor market. Guided by an educational philosophy that places learners’ development at its center, the Institute of International Education, NEU, continually strives to develop activities connecting students with businesses, helping them build connections, enhance their learning, and apply knowledge in practice while still studying.
Held for the first time, ISME Career Fair 2025 offered a multifaceted journey of discovery: from understanding oneself and career options to building business networks and experiencing interviews and hands-on work. With the theme “Pioneering Connections – Guiding the Future,” the event was not only a job fair but also a launchpad for each student’s journey of self-discovery and self-affirmation.
The program featured three concurrent activities: career guidance at business consultation desks, one-on-one interview experiences with business representatives, and a hands-on work experience room.

ISME CAREER FAIR 2025 attracted a large number of businesses and students
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Dean of the Institute of International Education, NEU, emphasized the importance of business connections and practical experience in enhancing competitiveness: “As the labor market becomes increasingly competitive and continues to evolve, early career guidance and connections with businesses have become important factors in helping students not only find suitable jobs but also build sustainable, long-term career development paths. The Institute of International Education consistently prioritizes cooperation with businesses to create added value for students during their studies, specifically through practical experience projects with businesses”.

ISME CAREER FAIR 2025 received support and participation from businesses and experts in various sectors, including e-commerce, financial investment, visual production, communications, electronic technology, travel and tourism, and architecture.
Representing the participating businesses, Diamond Sponsor Deli Vietnam E-commerce Co., Ltd. shared its perspective on training and developing high-quality human resources: “Sharing value and providing opportunities are Deli’s two most important goals in nurturing promising young generations for the future,” emphasized Nguyen Thi Ha Linh, Human Resources Director of Deli Co., Ltd.

After the opening ceremony, students attending the program continued to take part in three concurrent activities: one-on-one interviews with business representatives, career guidance at business consultation desks, and a hands-on work experience room.
In the one-on-one interview area, students stepped into the role of actual candidates, answering interview questions face-to-face with business representatives. Beyond offering an experience, this activity familiarized students with actual recruitment interview procedures, including how to make a positive impression, handle situations, communicate effectively, and persuade others. After the experience, some students were connected with suitable internship and employment opportunities right at the event. This was an important first step in helping students bridge the gap between their studies and the workplace, while building confidence and initiative for their future career journeys.

At the business consultation desks, students connected with experts and human resources representatives from various sectors and received direct guidance and advice. This activity also served as a “strategic stop” where students could address questions about career direction, the skills they needed to acquire, and long-term personal development paths.

As part of the hands-on work experience activities, Diamond Sponsor Deli Vietnam E-commerce Co., Ltd. led the Digital Marketing experience room, offering a distinctive, practice-oriented setting. Students tried their hand at being real ‘marketers’ by directly developing a comprehensive marketing strategy for ballpoint pens. This included analyzing the market, identifying target customer profiles, developing communication messages, selecting distribution channels, and developing a project to bring the products onto e-commerce platforms. Through this practical scenario, students gained a deeper understanding of strategic thinking in marketing, market analysis, creative thinking, and how to present and make a persuasive case for proposed ideas.

In the Financial Investment room, participants took on the role of “investment experts.” The teams prepared thoroughly for their project presentations by exploring, researching, and analyzing the market and the data provided. They then assessed the potential and underlying risks of an agricultural project and made investment recommendations. With guidance and feedback from Pham Son Tung, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Investment Division at CF Holdings, the Finance room made a strong impression through its professional depth and meaningful insights from an expert with extensive practical experience and knowledge. Pham Son Tung is also an alumnus of the Institute of International Education who actively contributes to younger generations through activities connecting the University and businesses.

Notably, in the R&D room, the outstanding student team that won first prize received job offers from Crystal Bay Card Travel Card Joint Stock Company right in the experience room. This clearly demonstrated the potential of an experience-based model linked to recruitment, where students not only learn but also seize real opportunities.

The event was not only a memorable milestone for students but also affirmed the role of the Institute of International Education – ISME@NEU in connecting education, practice, and businesses, contributing to an ecosystem of learning, experience, and sustainable development for learners. “The program gave me many new perspectives on my career, especially through meeting and connecting with leading businesses. Insights from experts and businesses, along with the work and interview experiences, helped me better understand my own career development path. Of course, I still need to work very hard to improve myself, but I also feel more confident and more myself after the program,” shared Ha Huy Anh, a fourth-year student in the Entrepreneurship and Business Development Program – B-BAE@NEU.

Students experience practical activities with businesses
ISME Career Fair 2025 concluded with valuable benefits: practical experience, networking, real recruitment opportunities, guidance from experts, and the thorough preparation and serious participation of both businesses and students. ISME Career Fair 2025 provides a foundation and impetus for the Institute of International Education to continue creating practical learning opportunities for learners and added value for the business and student communities.
