NEU – DSU: 10 Years of Partnership and Growth in International Education Cooperation

On June 24, 2025, a delegation from National Economics University (NEU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, paid a working visit to Dongseo University (DSU), South Korea. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two universities, establish strategic directions for the next phase of development, and help advance international education cooperation amid deepening international integration. In particular, the Faculty of Business Administration, the unit directly responsible for implementing the joint program, continues to play a central role in expanding and improving the quality of cooperation between the two institutions.

The visit marked a memorable milestone as the delegation attended the graduation ceremony for the sixth cohort of the joint international bachelor’s program in Business Administration between NEU and Dongseo University, South Korea (NEU – DSU). Having completed their first two years at NEU and the following two years at DSU, the students officially became international bachelor’s degree graduates. The occasion not only recognized the students’ journey of effort and growth but also provided vivid evidence of the effectiveness and credibility of the cross-border education partnership between the two universities.

In particular, at the meeting, the two sides agreed to expand dual-degree opportunities for students in the NEU – DSU program. Alongside their bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, students will have the opportunity to enroll in additional studies and earn a second degree at Dongseo University in such majors as Korean Language and Business, Film and Visual Effects, Computer Science, Game Programming, AI Applications, and Digital Marketing. This is an important step forward, opening flexible and diverse pathways for students’ academic, personal, and career development while providing additional competitive advantages in a globalized environment.

The joint international bachelor’s program in Business Administration between NEU and DSU follows a 2+2 model, in which students study for the first two years in Vietnam and the following two years in South Korea, receiving a degree awarded by Dongseo University. Over a decade of implementation, the program has attracted many outstanding students, providing a multicultural learning environment, rich international experiences, and extensive career opportunities in South Korea and many other countries.
