As part of the cooperation between National Economics University (NEU) and Kyung Hee University (South Korea), 20 NEU students participated from July 7 to 13, 2025, in NEU Summer Camp 2025: Korean Language and Culture, held at Kyung Hee University. This international exchange activity aimed to improve Vietnamese students’ basic Korean language skills and broaden their understanding of Korean culture.

At the opening ceremony, Myunggwi Lee, Dean of Korean Language Education, warmly welcomed the NEU student delegation to NEU Summer Camp 2025: Korean Language and Culture at Kyung Hee University.
Ms. Myunggwi Lee expressed her hope that the students would have wonderful experiences during the program and develop positive impressions of South Korea and its people. The summer program marks a milestone in cooperation between NEU and Kyung Hee University, helping to promote and strengthen the partnership between the two universities. Kyung Hee University hopes to continue developing similar activities in the coming years to enhance international students’ learning and exchange experiences in South Korea.
Throughout the week of learning and exploration, students received Korean language instruction through practical activities that helped strengthen their everyday communication skills. Visits to notable sites also helped students gain a deeper understanding of Korean history and culture.

Throughout the program, students visited iconic sites in Seoul, South Korea, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, a symbol of the Joseon Dynasty’s history and traditional architecture, and the Seoul Museum of History, which offers a comprehensive view of the development of Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

During the program, students had the opportunity to visit MBC Broadcasting Station and take part in activities introducing South Korea’s television and content production industry. The headquarters of MBC Broadcasting Station is located within the grounds of MBC World Seoul amusement park, which was built and began operating in September 2015. This is South Korea’s first Hallyu theme park, offering a variety of entertainment activities. It includes Star Park, which features handprints of South Korea’s most famous stars. Visitors can “touch hands” with Lee Jun Ki, Song Joong Ki, and others in this area, the busiest in MBC World.

Students also visited the Korean Center for Education and Research in Science and Technology (GKEDC), where they could learn about South Korea’s advanced technology and research projects. Here, students also learned about South Korea’s remarkable economic recovery and development, often called the “Miracle on the Han River”—its dramatic transformation from a country impoverished by war into a strong industrialized economy and one of the economic powerhouses of Asia and the world.
