The International Conference on Electronic Business (ICEB) is a conference affiliated with the Association of Information Systems (AIS). It is a forum that brings together leading scholars in Electronic Business (EB) from Asia and around the world to present cutting-edge research and exchange in-depth academic ideas. The conference is organized under the oversight of the Editorial Board of the International Consortium for Electronic Business (ICEB, http://icebnet.org/) and is recognized as one of the world’s leading academic conferences in this field.
This marks the first time this prestigious academic event will be held in Vietnam, bringing together a large number of leading scholars, experts, and researchers in Information Systems and Electronic Business from many countries around the world. With the theme “Electronic Business in the Era of Reshaping Information Systems: Opportunities and Challenges,” the entire program will take place in person at NEU.
The conference will feature many distinguished international speakers who will share perspectives and in-depth analyses of the conference theme and related issues. The conference will include one plenary session and parallel discussion sessions to present the latest findings, research, and practical applications.
ICEB 2025 takes place in a distinctive context, as we live in an era of unprecedented disruption and innovation driven by the rapid development and convergence of a range of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), big data (Big Data), blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), low-Earth-orbit satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), and electric vehicles. These technologies are changing how we communicate, collaborate, create, and consume, while reshaping the business and social landscape. They also profoundly affect the application of information and communications technology to business processes and transactions—the very focus of electronic business transformation—enabling new business models, enhancing customer experiences, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation and competitiveness.
However, alongside these new opportunities, electronic business also faces many new challenges and risks, including cybersecurity, data integration, digital ethics, legal regulations, sustainability, sociopolitical pressures, and AI-enabled fraud such as deepfakes. To adapt and thrive in this dynamic and complex environment, practitioners need to continually restructure their information systems and strategies, while academics need to study new dimensions from multiple perspectives to leverage technology effectively and overcome the accompanying challenges. Collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas between scholars and practitioners are therefore essential.

In response to these far-reaching changes, ICEB 2025 will serve as an important forum for researchers and practitioners to share their latest research, exchange knowledge, and discuss innovative solutions for adapting and thriving in the digital environment.
ICEB 2025 is not only an academic event but also an opportunity to connect the research community, businesses, and policymakers to jointly shape the future of electronic business in the era of digital transformation.
