National Economics University Among Top 16 Vietnamese Universities Meeting International Accreditation Standards
According to the latest announcement by the Quality Management Agency under the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), 16 higher education institutions nationwide are now recognized as meeting the standards of reputable international accreditation organizations, an increase of four institutions over the previous year.
Among the institutions listed, National Economics University (NEU) continues to affirm its standing through accreditation by the higher education quality accreditation organization FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), a distinguished education quality assurance organization of the Swiss Government, headquartered in both Germany and Switzerland. FIBAA accredits, evaluates, and develops educational institutions and programs worldwide in the social sciences and humanities, law, management, and economics. FIBAA is also a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), the European University Association (EUA), the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 200 higher education institutions nationwide have been recognized as meeting domestic quality standards to date. The number of institutions recognized as meeting international standards has also risen from 11 to 16.
Alongside NEU, the list includes leading universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; University of Science and Technology, the University of Danang; Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Ton Duc Thang University; International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City; British University Vietnam (BUV); University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH); Van Lang University; Lac Hong University; Hoa Sen University; Vietnam Japan University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and VinUniversity.
The universities have received accreditation from six different international organizations, notably HCERES (France), AUN-QA (ASEAN Quality Assurance Network) and FIBAA (Germany). NEU’s recognition by the international accreditation organization FIBAA as meeting institutional quality standards demonstrates the University’s sustained efforts to ensure the quality of its education, move closer to international standards, and affirm its reputation in economics, management, and business administration. FIBAA assessed criteria including lecturer quality, the quality of support for learners, academic programs, practical applicability, and the quality of facilities and services, among others, against very high and rigorous requirements.

NEU students are ready to access global knowledge, enhance their competitiveness, and integrate internationally
Inclusion among the 16 Vietnamese universities with international accreditation not only affirms NEU’s reputation in the domestic higher education landscape but also opens up extensive opportunities for NEU students to access global knowledge, develop their competitiveness, and integrate internationally.
With the 2018 amended Law on Higher Education requiring mandatory, periodic accreditation, this achievement demonstrates NEU’s sound strategy and strong determination to improve quality and pursue its goal of becoming a leading research university in the region.
