On October 18, 2025, the National Golf Championship for Alumni and Learners of National Economics University (NEU) (NEU Golf Championship 2025) was successfully held at Long Bien Golf Course in Hanoi, marking 10 years of the establishment and development of the NEU Alumni and Learners Network—a network bringing together generations of entrepreneurs, alumni, and learners from NEU who share a passion for sports and a commitment to connecting the NEU community.

Launched in 2016, NEU Golf Championship has become the largest annual event for the NEU alumni community, fostering connections, exchanges, and sportsmanship among entrepreneurs.

This year’s tournament brought together more than 200 golfers, including former learners, alumni, and partners from numerous provinces and cities across the country. From early afternoon on October 18, Long Bien Golf Course was vibrant with the colors of NEU golfers’ uniforms. In Hanoi’s gentle autumn sunshine, groups teed off one after another in an atmosphere that was enthusiastic and friendly yet competitive, creating a lively day of sports and connection for the NEU Golfers family.

The prize structure featured many positive changes to make the tournament increasingly appealing

At the end of the round, golfer Do Anh Duc claimed the Best Gross title with an outstanding score of 74 (+2), demonstrating consistent form and excellent course management throughout all 18 holes. Do Anh Duc is a longstanding member and one of the most prominent figures in the NEU Golf Club. Over his many years with the club, he has won numerous internal tournaments, notably NEU Golf Championship 2022 and the third K34 FITCUP in 2023.

The Best Net award went to golfer Dam Thanh Son, who played an outstanding round with a Gross score of 86, Handicap of 23, and Net score of 63 (Over-8).

More than a sporting event, NEU Golf Championship 2025 also embodied strong humanitarian values. As part of the tournament, the Organizing Committee launched a fundraising initiative to support people in northern Vietnam severely affected by storms No. 10 and 11, allocating a portion of the event budget and soliciting donations directly at the tournament.

This initiative demonstrated the NEU Golfers community’s spirit of sharing and social responsibility, while highlighting the solidarity and compassion of entrepreneurs and alumni of NEU.

From a grassroots sporting event initiated by a group of alumni, NEU Golf Championship has grown over nearly a decade into a leading, respected sporting and cultural symbol among Vietnamese universities. The tournament not only connects generations of NEU entrepreneurs but also helps build a dynamic, outward-looking, and compassionate community of NEUers.

The 10-year milestone in 2025 marks a proud journey of development, affirming NEU Golf Championship as a gathering place for excellence, connecting generations and promoting humanitarian values, while also affirming the standing of the NEUers community—strong on both the golf course and in the business world.
