NEU Students Make a Strong Mark at National Technology Competitions

Students from National Economics University (NEU) continue to demonstrate their mettle, intellect, and standing at some of the country’s most prestigious technology competitions, with a series of outstanding achievements at OLP’25, OlpAI’25, Procon Vietnam 2025, and ICPC Asia HoChiMinh City 2025.

NEU teams participate in the 2025 annual technology competition series

Following five days of intense competition (December 8–12, 2025), the annual technology competition series concluded at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). This year, the competitions brought together nearly 1,000 information technology students and nearly 200 coaches from 87 universities, colleges, and academies. Participation also expanded to include specialized high schools and international teams from South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and HUTECH, under the auspices of MOET, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

With a diverse range of challenges spanning AI, competitive programming, application development, and simulations of real-world problems, the competitions continued to affirm their standing as high-quality academic arenas, providing a strong impetus for scientific research and innovation among students in Vietnam.

Northern Regional Champion – Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

At the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, the “NEU LINH” team delivered an outstanding performance to win the northern regional championship, overcoming a succession of strong opponents through composure, sharp thinking, and the ability to make breakthroughs at the right moments. This success resulted from seamless collaboration among three members from two seemingly separate yet powerfully complementary fields: one student from the Faculty of Information Technology and two students from the Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
