On December 30, 2025, National Economics University (NEU) held its 2025 Dialogue Conference between the President and Public Employees and Workers.

Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; Assoc. Held annually, the Dialogue Conference between the President and Public Employees and Workers serves as a democratic forum for University leaders, public employees and workers to discuss and implement activities across NEU, contributing to the successful fulfillment of its established plans and key tasks.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, emphasized that the conference was important not only for implementing grassroots democracy regulations but also for demonstrating the University leadership’s democratic, open, responsible and receptive approach. It provided an opportunity for the leadership team to listen directly and engage in frank discussions with faculty, staff and workers, who contribute day and night to NEU’s quality, reputation, image and standing.

The President noted that, as the Party and the State issue major strategic resolutions on innovation, science and technology, international integration, economic development and education, NEU faces demands for profound and comprehensive reform. These range from university governance, improving the quality of education, and advancing scientific research, innovation and digital transformation to international integration and compliance with increasingly demanding governance standards. In this process, public employees and workers are identified as the central resource, playing a pivotal and decisive role in the University’s sustainable development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong affirmed that NEU’s achievements to date have all been built on the intellect, sense of responsibility, dedication and persistent efforts of all faculty, staff and workers. On behalf of the University leadership, the President acknowledged and expressed deep appreciation for these valuable contributions and thanked those who made them.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong also acknowledged that reform and development inevitably involve pressures, difficulties and limitations. Some issues have yet to fully meet the expectations of public employees and workers, including income policies, benefits, working conditions, facilities, workforce development and certain administrative procedures. In the spirit of substantive dialogue, the President called for frank, fair and constructive exchanges. He also encouraged faculty and staff to put forward ideas and propose solutions for the University leadership to consider, study and gradually implement in the coming period.

The President expressed confidence that, with its tradition of solidarity, intellect and responsibility, together with the support of all public employees and workers, NEU would continue to develop sustainably, modernize and affirm its standing within Vietnam’s higher education system.
