With a training strategy focused on enhancing the quality of education by promoting international integration and practical engagement, on July 3, 2026, the Executive Master Program at the National Economics University, in collaboration with Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, China (Tsinghua SIGS), successfully organized the seminar “Opportunities for Cooperation between China and Vietnam” as part of the field trip for the 14th cohort of Executive MBA students.

Overview of the Seminar

Representing Tsinghua University were: Prof. Zuo Jian’e – Vice President of the Tsinghua International Graduate School; Prof. Li Qiulin – Director of the Continuing Education Center; Mr. Ma Zhenyi – Director of the International Student Affairs Office; along with other SIGS staff members.

Representing the National Economics University were: Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – Chairman of the Academic and Training Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Huong – Dean of the Graduate School; Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi – Dean of the College of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang – Deputy Dean of the Graduate School; along with faculty members and all students of the 14th Executive MBA cohort.

In his opening speech at the seminar, Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi – Dean of the College of Business, National Economics University emphasized the significance of the program in enhancing academic exchange, connecting the business community, and promoting cooperation between Vietnam and China. Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi expressed confidence that the in-depth discussions and practical perspectives at the seminar would bring substantial value to businesses, while also contributing to improving the management capacity and international integration mindset of the Executive MBA students at the National Economics University.

Following this, Prof. Li Qiulin – Director of the Continuing Education Center extended a warm welcome to the delegation and Executive MBA students from the National Economics University attending the program. In his speech, Prof. Li Qiulin affirmed the potential for long-term cooperation between Tsinghua University and the National Economics University, while highlighting the prospects for developing economic, trade, and investment relations between the Vietnamese and Chinese business communities in the context of increasingly deep integration.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Huong and Prof. Dr. Li Qiulin presented souvenirs, symbolizing friendship, respect, and a commitment to further promote collaboration between the two educational institutions, laying the groundwork for future academic exchanges and business connections.

The presentations at the seminar focused on clarifying the economic cooperation landscape between Vietnam and China, while sharing management experiences and practical lessons from exemplary enterprises. The three main topics presented included: (1) Trade Opportunities between Vietnam and China and the Business Strategy of Streamax – Lessons for Vietnamese Enterprises; (2) Supply Chain Management Experience of Shokz – Lessons for Vietnamese Enterprises; and (3) Cooperation Opportunities between Chinese Enterprises and ASEAN Countries.

The presentations not only demonstrated the research capabilities, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning of the Executive MBA students but also enriched the discussions at the seminar, opening up new perspectives on cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises. The exchanges and discussions during the program also laid the foundation for promoting collaborative initiatives in investment, trade, innovation, and enterprise development in the future.

The study and practical consultation trip was a great success, providing Executive Master’s Program students with valuable practical experiences, enhancing their understanding of management models, development strategies, and innovation of international technology enterprises in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapid development of artificial intelligence. This was also an opportunity for students to broaden their management thinking, update global development trends, and enhance leadership capabilities and integration in the international business environment.
