1. Examination Dates, Formats, Sessions, Approved Deferrals and Supplementary Examinations

1.1. Examination Formats and Sessions

– In-person examinations

Essay examinations: four sessions per day

+ Session 1 starts at 7:00 a.m.; session 2 starts at 9:00 a.m.

+ Session 3 starts at 1:00 p.m.; session 4 starts at 3:00 p.m.

Computer-based examinations: eight sessions per day

+ Session 1: 7:00–8:00 a.m.; session 2: 8:30–9:30 a.m.; session 3: 10:00–11:00 a.m.

+ Session 4: 1:00–2:00 p.m.; session 5: 2:30–3:30 p.m.; session 6: 4:00–5:00 p.m.

+ Session 7: 6:30–7:30 p.m.; session 8: 7:45–8:15 p.m.

1.2. Examination Deferrals and Session Changes, Supplementary Examinations, Retakes and Grade-Improvement Examinations:

– Students should contact their class supervisor/academic advisor for direct advice.

2. To ensure thorough preparations for examinations for classes in advanced, high-quality, POHE and Business Analytics programs, the University requires the following:

2.1 Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs:

– Inform Divisions, lecturers and students so that they can make the best possible preparations and be ready for the examinations.

– Receive original examination papers from lecturers, deliver the originals to the Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assurance and reproduce examination papers there for courses in the advanced and Business Analytics programs.

– Process payments in accordance with regulations for examination paper preparation, grading and invigilation for classes in the advanced, high-quality, POHE and Business Analytics programs.

2.2 Divisions:

– Enter component grades and publish lists of students eligible to take end-of-course examinations before the examination date. Examination lists must include all component grades for each course.

Specifically:

+ Cohort 63 high-quality and POHE program classes:

Publish component grades and lists of students eligible to take examinations before April 24, 2024.

+ Cohort 64 high-quality and POHE program classes:

Publish component grades and lists of students eligible to take examinations before May 22, 2024.

+ Cohort 65 high-quality and POHE classes:

Publish component grades and lists of students eligible to take examinations before June 19, 2024.

2.3 Lecturers Teaching in Advanced and Business Analytics Programs

K63, K64:

Publish component grades and lists of students eligible to take examinations before May 29, 2024.

K65:

Publish component grades and lists of students eligible to take examinations before June 19, 2024.

2.4 Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assurance and Center for Information Technology Application

– Provide examination supervision support and technical support during multiple-choice examinations, collect examination submissions, etc.

The Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs and relevant units shall prepare for and coordinate the organization of examinations in accordance with their assigned functions and responsibilities.
