Within the framework of the State visit to China from April 14–17 by General Secretary, President To Lam, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, National Economics University continues to affirm its pioneering role in the process of international integration as the university’s delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong – President of the University, participated in important activities during the visit.

At the Vietnam-China Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation Forum, held at Tsinghua University, General Secretary, President To Lam attended and delivered an important policy speech, emphasizing the role of higher education, science, technology, and innovation in promoting cooperative relations between the two countries, Vietnam and China.

In particular, in his speech, General Secretary, President To Lam mentioned that National Economics University as one of the exemplary higher education institutions in Vietnam actively participating in international collaboration, contributing to the training of high-quality human resources and promoting innovation. This recognition is of significant importance, providing further motivation for the University in its strategy for global development and integration.

In parallel with attending the Forum, the delegation from National Economics University conducted a series of working activities with leading universities in China to concretize cooperation orientations.

At the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), both parties exchanged an overview of development status and discussed cooperation in training, human resource development, faculty development, and the implementation of short-term and long-term student exchange programs as well as academic research collaboration.

Subsequently, at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), discussions focused on developing language training programs, enhancing student exchanges, establishing joint training programs, and promoting joint research projects. The signing of a cooperation agreement here has opened specific pathways in the relationship between the two universities.

During the meeting with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), strategic cooperation topics continued to be discussed, including the implementation of joint training programs (2+2, dual degree), promoting academic exchanges, developing joint research programs, and organizing international academic forums and conferences.

The series of activities in China clearly demonstrated the internationalization orientation of the National Economics University, affirming the proactive and positive spirit of the University in expanding academic cooperation, enhancing the quality of training and research. This further asserts its role as one of Vietnam’s pioneering higher education institutions in the process of integration and development.
