National Economics University (NEU) Advances Educational Collaboration with Sweden
On April 14, 2026, in Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of National Economics University, hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Swedish Embassy and Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) to discuss opportunities for collaboration in education and research.

Overview of the Meeting
Attending the meeting, from the Swedish side, were Mr. Christofer Fredriksson, Cultural Promotion and Swedish Promotion Officer at the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam; Ms. Vanja Lindberg, Vice Rector for Internationalization at Blekinge Institute of Technology; along with experts in technology and education internationalization. From National Economics University, there were Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy, Rector of the College of Technology; Dr. Pham Sy Long, Deputy Head of the International Cooperative Department.

During the meeting, both parties provided an overview of their educational and research capabilities and discussed potential collaboration directions for the future. Discussions focused on developing student and faculty exchange programs, organizing academic conferences, implementing summer courses, tailor-made training programs, and developing joint academic programs.
Notably, technology and digital transformation were identified as key areas of collaboration, aligning with the strengths of both parties in the context of higher education’s push towards integration and innovation.
