Opening the program, Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, recounted her 25-year journey with FPT as it expanded globally, conveying the message “Dare to Take Risks.” She said: “At 19, I turned down a salary at another company that was 20 times the initial allowance of approximately VND 280,000 per month offered by FPT in exchange for the opportunity to learn more at FPT.” She noted that when choosing a first job, the top priority should be an environment offering plenty of challenges and opportunities for growth.

During the discussion, she also shared insights into the passionate spirit of FPT’s technology professionals. While working as a sales consultant, she spent every Sunday for six months entering data, even though this task was not part of her original agreement. Taking on this additional work, however, helped Ha recognize the enormous importance of data in the technology industry and acquire a wealth of new knowledge she had never previously considered.

Chu Quang Huy, Chief Human Resources Officer of FPT Corporation

Next in the program, Chu Quang Huy, Chief Human Resources Officer of FPT Corporation, spoke to students about the importance of choosing a job based not only on income but also on career development and opportunities to learn from leaders. He also advised students to maintain balance in life, particularly regarding their health, and sustain healthy habits to recharge their energy.

Tran Thi Thuy Linh, Marketing Team Leader at FPT Software Academy

An alumna of the Faculty of Human Resource Economics and Management and a Gen Z leader, Tran Thi Thuy Linh, Marketing Team Leader at FPT Software Academy, said: “Study to broaden your knowledge and work to develop soft skills—these two elements complement each other, helping build well-rounded personal capabilities. Students need to understand the importance of balancing both early on to develop themselves fully.”

Alongside the speakers’ presentations, the exchange with students was another important highlight of the program. Students had the opportunity to ask questions directly and discuss with the speakers their concerns and queries about career paths, essential skills, and ways to develop themselves as technology increasingly permeates every field, particularly economics.

A representative of the University emphasized the importance of cooperation and active support from FPT Corporation in providing career guidance for students, particularly NEU students, as well as Vietnamese students in general.

The program left a deep impression on students, not only providing valuable lessons but also inspiring confidence and motivation to move forward steadily on their career paths. The organizers hope the program will help students discover their potential, establish a clear career direction, and equip themselves for a bright future.
