Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, delivers remarks

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, emphasized that the educational philosophy of “Creating smart pathways for each person to become the best version of themselves and bring value to the community” has remained the guiding principle for all educational activities at NEU.

Throughout its nearly 70-year history and 48 years of postgraduate education, NEU has inspired a passion for knowledge, encouraged innovation, and helped nearly 20,000 master’s graduates affirm their value in communities in Vietnam and internationally.

Acknowledging the new master’s graduates’ learning and research journeys, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong expressed empathy for the difficulties and challenges they had faced in balancing work, family life, and scientific research. He affirmed that each master’s degree represents a story of effort and perseverance.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong emphasized that the country is entering a new stage of development and therefore has a strong need for high-quality human resources—people with a global mindset, modern management capabilities, and the capacity for innovation to contribute to policymaking, lead businesses, and create new value.

“I am confident that, with your determination to learn, personal resolve, and systematically acquired knowledge, you, our new master’s graduates, will continue to seize opportunities and overcome challenges to achieve new successes. Today’s master’s degree is not only evidence of a successful learning journey but also carries a profound social responsibility. Each new master’s graduate of NEU must strive to become an intellectual driving force, contributing to the realization of the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam,” the President of NEU affirmed.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong emphasized that today’s new master’s graduates have officially become part of NEU’s network of former postgraduate and undergraduate students—a dynamic and extensive Alumni community that brings together intellect, spreads ideas, shares opportunities, and fosters successful collaboration.

“The University is always proud of you and ready to support you on your path to future development. Whatever positions you hold, NEU hopes that you, our new master’s graduates, will maintain close ties with the University and work alongside it in its educational mission.”

Expressing his confidence in the 2025 master’s graduates, the President of NEU emphasized that a master’s degree is not an endpoint but the beginning of a new journey—a journey of greater contribution and creativity, and of upholding social responsibility, so that the degree is not merely a title but also a commitment to the country’s sustainable development.

Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the 784 new master’s graduates, MSc. Do Thi Trang, from NEU’s Real Estate Business Administration class, Cohort 31, spoke with emotion about growing up in a rural area that still faced many difficulties, where her parents, despite their hardships, always devoted themselves wholeheartedly to ensuring their children could access the best possible education.

From that foundation, Do Thi Trang had the opportunity to pursue a master’s program specializing in Real Estate Business Administration at NEU—a place that not only imparted knowledge but also instilled lessons in character and provided valuable life experiences. She also shared: “Education may not be the only path to success, but it is the shortest path to opening up more choices, reaching our dreams, and advancing to higher positions. We, today’s new master’s graduates, feel truly fortunate and happy to have studied and grown at this University.”
