New graduate Nguyen Tien Dung speaks at the ceremony.

Moved as he received his bachelor’s degree, new graduate Nguyen Tien Dung said: “Here and now, at this solemn and deeply meaningful graduation ceremony, I am greatly honored to represent the new graduates in sharing our thoughts at this formal occasion, as we look back together and express our most heartfelt feelings about the journey we have taken.

Amid the joy of this graduation ceremony, please allow me, on behalf of all the learners, to express our profound gratitude to the leaders and lecturers of both institutions. The past four years of study have left us with so many memories. Through their voices, our lecturers imparted a vast wealth of knowledge that we have committed to memory. Our lecturers are truly great ferrymen, guiding generations of students toward knowledge. That image will never fade from the minds of any of us.

Dear fellow graduates, four years have passed since we first enrolled, filled with uncertainty and apprehension, facing hardships and difficulties. We have traveled this stretch of the road together and grown together at our institution. Our Cohort 54 was perhaps a rather special cohort, as our studies were significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving us with few opportunities to interact directly with our lecturers and classmates. Yet through that difficult period, we fully felt the sincere and invaluable care of the University and our lecturers, who ensured that our journey would not be interrupted and that we could step out into the world well equipped. They even helped us build our capacity to adapt better to the great waves of the ocean. Those first online lessons were truly memorable. Each small activity, such as opening an online classroom, listening to lectures, taking attendance online, and learning through Microsoft and Zoom, gave us not only valuable knowledge and soft skills but also a spirit of constant renewal, creativity, and flexible change to adapt as effectively as possible to difficult circumstances. All these things are valuable assets that enable us to remain steadfast and confident wherever we may be. In every circumstance, we are deeply grateful to our lecturers.

All of us, the new graduates, pledge to apply and build on the knowledge we have gained to serve our workplaces and to continue learning to improve our professional expertise. Finally, on behalf of the new graduates, I would like to thank the NEU Board of Presidents, the leadership, and our lecturers for their care and for making it possible for us to enjoy this honor today. I thank the NEU Board of Presidents and our lecturers for their attention and for providing us with such a good learning environment. Once again, I wish all delegates, lecturers, and fellow students good health and abundant happiness.”
