On the afternoon of June 3, 2026, National Economics University honored collectives, faculty members, and students who achieved outstanding results in national and international academic competitions in 2026.

Program Overview

Attending the program were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu – Vice President; MSc. Nguyen Hoang Ha – Head of the Student Affairs Department; along with representatives from the leadership of Schools, Departments, Faculties, Institutes, and Centers affiliated with the University; faculty members directly involved in coaching the teams; and students who achieved excellent results in academic competitions in 2026.

In recent years, the work of identifying, training, and nurturing academic teams has been systematically implemented by the National Economics University. From domestic academic arenas to international competitions, university students continuously affirm their professional competence, creative thinking, and integration skills, significantly spreading academic culture within the student community.

In his speech at the program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu – Vice President acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the teams, faculty members, and students in recent times.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu emphasized that the achievements not only demonstrate the students’ professional competence, serious study spirit, and aspiration for knowledge but also reflect the effectiveness of training and nurturing academic teams as well as the dedicated support of the faculty. Furthermore, the University will continue to invest resources and create favorable conditions for academic teams to develop more robustly, aiming for higher achievements in both domestic and international academic arenas.

At the program, National Economics University (NEU) awarded Certificates of Merit to groups, faculty members, and students who achieved outstanding results in prestigious academic competitions both nationally and internationally. In 2026, the Student Mathematics Olympic Team achieved remarkable success by winning four Third Prizes at the National Student Mathematics Olympiad. This achievement continues to affirm the quality of training, professional development efforts, and the serious academic spirit of NEU students when competing in Group A – the competition group for educational institutions with strengths in Mathematics nationwide.

In the field of information technology, NEU students continue to make their mark at the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad with many outstanding achievements. Notably, student Le Quoc Tran Anh excelled by winning the Championship in the Specialized Category. This achievement is the result of persistent efforts, gradually affirming competence from non-specialized competition content to conquering the highest position in the Specialized Category, thereby spreading the spirit of learning, creativity, and aspiration to rise among NEU students.

One of the notable achievements of the student teams in 2026 is the impressive result of the NEU.Anarchaos programming team at the ICPC Asia-Pacific Regional Finals. With a determined competitive spirit, effective coordination, and high determination, the team excellently won the Silver Medal, further affirming the integration capability and position of NEU students in international technology competitions.

These outstanding results not only affirm the professional competence, creative thinking, and integration capability of NEU students but also reflect the effectiveness of the university’s academic team training and development efforts. Additionally, this is evidence of the dedication and commitment of the faculty in discovering, guiding, and nurturing student talent, contributing to the strong dissemination of academic spirit, scientific research, and innovation throughout the university.
