National Economics University Visits and Signs Cooperation Agreement With the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) on a High-Quality Insurance Program Integrating ANZIIF Certifications

To innovate and improve the quality of education to meet demand for high-quality insurance professionals, a delegation from National Economics University (NEU), led by Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, President of NEU, visited and signed a cooperation agreement with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) on March 25, 2024. The visit was part of a working trip to Australian universities and educational partners. The agreement aims to jointly develop and implement a high-quality bachelor’s academic program in insurance integrating ANZIIF certifications.

NEU and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) formally sign a cooperation agreement on a high-quality insurance program integrating ANZIIF certifications.

Under the cooperation agreement, students admitted to NEU who wish to pursue the high-quality insurance program integrating ANZIIF international certifications will take both NEU courses and ANZIIF courses.

Specialized courses integrating ANZIIF course content will be taught 100% in English. Upon completing the academic program, students will receive a high-quality bachelor’s degree in insurance from NEU and three international certifications in non-life insurance from ANZIIF. These include a diploma in general insurance under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF Diploma of General Insurance), a practical certificate in general insurance from ANZIIF (ANZIIF Excutive Certificate in Insurance), and a practical certificate in non-life insurance claims handling (ANZIIF Excutive Certificate in General Insurance Claims) or a practical certificate in non-life insurance risk assessment (ANZIIF Excutive Certificate in General Insurance Underwriting).

Through this integrated program, students will therefore hold both a bachelor’s degree in insurance and international certifications in insurance upon graduation. The integrated program will thus provide Vietnam’s insurance market with a generation of young professionals who have strong technical expertise and proficiency in insurance-specific English, meeting the demands of increasingly extensive international integration.

Representatives of the leadership of both organizations sign the cooperation agreement.

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is a leading organization that works with the financial services industry to promote excellence, professionalism, and business success for its members and the global financial services industry. ANZIIF’s core business purpose is to design and develop technical insurance training materials. ANZIIF offers a range of academic programs accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework (Australian Qualifications Framework – AQF), as well as internally accredited programs in insurance and risk management in Australia and many countries around the world.
