Under the close direction of the Party Committee and the NEU Board of Presidents, the key tasks for the first quarter of 2024 were largely completed. Activities marking the University\u2019s 68th founding anniversary and the early spring gathering were held in a dignified and warm atmosphere, providing an opportunity for public employees and other staff throughout the University to meet, strengthen bonds, and foster a joyful, enthusiastic spirit of emulation toward fulfilling the year\u2019s tasks. Activities launching Youth Month and celebrating International Women\u2019s Day were lively and wide-ranging. Partnerships and cooperation with domestic and overseas organizations continued to expand. Security and public order were maintained before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. Admissions counseling received particular attention and began immediately after the Lunar New Year holiday. A new development this year was the creation of ORLABNEU admissions counseling software for admissions counselors, which has been introduced. Training will be provided at the Faculty, Institute, and unit levels to further improve the quality of admissions counseling. The University promoted the application of information technology to provide public employees, other staff, students, and learners with the best possible conditions for work, teaching, learning, and research.
