On May 14, 2026, at the Bac Ninh Provincial Conference Center, the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and National Economics University, organized a scientific conference with the theme \u201cEstablishing a New Growth Model, Restructuring the Economy, Promoting Industrialization and Modernization, with Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation as the Main Drivers in Bac Ninh Province.\u201d Within the framework of the program, National Economics University and the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee signed a Cooperation Agreement to promote academic research and training, enhancing the quality of human resources for the period 2026-2030.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

In his opening remarks, Mr. Mai Son – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that Bac Ninh is facing an urgent need to innovate its growth model towards a more substantial approach, shifting from development based on investment capital, cheap labor, and assembly to development based on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Comrade Mai Son affirmed that the conference holds significant importance in providing scientific and practical arguments to serve the policy-making process for the province’s development.<\/p>\n\n

He also particularly emphasized that the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and National Economics University is considered a significant milestone aimed at enhancing \u201cknowledge synergy,\u201d promoting policy consultation, training high-quality human resources, and technology transfer to serve the practical development of Bac Ninh Province in the new phase.<\/p>\n\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho affirmed that National Economics University is always ready to accompany localities and enterprises in research, policy consultation, human resource training, and knowledge transfer to contribute to rapid and sustainable development based on the foundation of science, technology, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n

The highlight of the series of activities is the scientific conference with the theme “Establishing a New Growth Model, Restructuring the Economy, Promoting Industrialization and Modernization, with Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation as the Main Drivers in Bac Ninh Province.” The conference holds strategic significance, reflecting the determination to concretize the major policies of the Party, particularly Resolution No. 57-NQ\/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n
