On April 3, 2026, during a working session with the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, National Economics University proposed several specific initiatives to strengthen collaboration in academic research, policy consultation, and the development of socio-economic solutions for the Capital based on science, technology, and innovation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Attending the working session, from the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan \u2013 Deputy Director; Dr. Le Tran Phong – Acting Deputy Head, Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Trinh Quoc Trung \u2013 Deputy Head of Innovation and Intellectual Property; Mr. Ngo Van Tinh \u2013 Deputy Head of Digital Economy and Digital Society; along with leaders of various specialized departments and divisions of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n

From National Economics University were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu \u2013 Vice President; Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – Former President; Prof. Dr. Tran Tho Dat – Chairman of the Science & Training Council; along with representatives of the leadership from Schools, Departments, Faculties, Institutes, Centers; members of the Science & Training Council, experts, and scientists of the University.<\/p>\n\n

During the working session, both parties focused on discussing future collaboration directions, particularly in enhancing the role of higher education institutions in research, knowledge transfer, and policy support. The in-depth discussions centered on strategic areas, highlighting new aspects in the approval, implementation, and execution of projects aimed at maximizing conditions for scientists in research, including: Innovating the Capital’s economic growth model; Developing the digital economy and data economy; Circular economy, green economy; Cultural industry, smart tourism; Resource management, real estate, and other key areas.<\/p>\n\n

All opinions exchanged were in agreement that, in the context of increasing digital transformation and deeper international integration, building new growth models based on science, technology, and innovation is an urgent requirement. Additionally, it is essential to strengthen the connection between academic research and practical management, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of policy consultation and the applicability of research results in the socio-economic development process of the City, as well as training highly specialized human resources for society.<\/p>\n\n

In the context of Hanoi accelerating the transformation of its growth model towards a science and technology-based and innovation-driven approach, the collaboration between the two parties is expected to contribute to the promotion of digital economy, green economy, and knowledge economy, laying the foundation for rapid and sustainable growth in the upcoming period.<\/p>\n\n
