Concluding a 13-day journey of study, exchange, and cultural experience at the School of Business, Guangxi University (China), a delegation of 44 National Economics University students successfully completed the exchange program on June 28, 2026, with many meaningful outcomes. The trip not only gave students access to an international educational environment and broadened their cultural and academic understanding, but also helped them gain practical knowledge, sharpen their skills, and strengthen their ability to integrate internationally. During the program, students attended a series of thematic seminars on the Chinese economy, exploring its economic development, investment environment, and business management models, as well as emerging trends in the context of international integration. Through these academic exchanges, students not only gained practical insights from experts and lecturers but also had the opportunity to compare what they had learned in class with the real-world development of one of the world’s largest economies. In doing so, they gradually sharpened their critical thinking, broadened their global perspective, and strengthened their ability to analyze and apply knowledge in practice.

One of the highlights of the program was a visit to Royal Group (Huangshi Group), a leading state-owned dairy enterprise in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Founded in 2001, the group was officially listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in January 2010, becoming the fourth dairy company listed on China’s A-share market. With more than 20 years of development, the group has used Guangxi as its base, focused on expanding in the Southwest China market, and has become a leading player in China’s dairy industry, with the largest scale and top-tier technological capabilities.

At the company, students gained first-hand insight into its organizational structure, business strategy, modern production processes, and quality management system. Beyond touring the production lines, they also had the opportunity to engage with company representatives to better understand labor market demands, the competencies the company looks for in young talent, and how a large-scale enterprise operates. These hands-on experiences helped students bridge theory and practice, while giving them clearer direction for their studies and career development.

Alongside academic content, the program offered various cultural experiences such as introductory Chinese language classes, lacquer fan crafting, calligraphy, Chinese folk dance, and exchanges with students from the School of Business Administration – Guangxi University. Through these lessons and exchanges, students not only discovered the beauty of traditional Chinese culture but also developed communication skills, the ability to work in multicultural environments, confidence, and a proactive spirit for international integration.

In addition to academic activities, the group also visited many famous landmarks and cultural sites in Nanning City, such as Qingxiu Mountain Park, Guangxi Zhuang Nationality Museum, and many other unique locations. These trips not only helped students gain insights into the local history, culture, and lifestyle but also contributed to broadening their knowledge, fostering a spirit of exploration, and enhancing adaptability in an international environment.

The most valuable aspect of the program lies not only in the new knowledge or the places visited but in the personal growth of each student. After nearly two weeks of living, studying, and experiencing abroad, they have developed independence, intercultural communication skills, adaptability to new environments, teamwork skills, and a mindset for integration. These are essential competencies for the workforce in the context of globalization.

For many students, the trip is also a memorable part of their university life. The classes with international friends, cultural exchanges, practical experiences at enterprises, and moments of exploring a new land together will become beautiful memories, contributing to a dynamic youth, daring to experience and continuously learn. More importantly, these experiences will help them gain confidence, accumulate life experience, broaden their horizons, and have clearer directions for their studies, research, and future careers.
