On the afternoon of July 14, 2026 – coinciding with the National Day of the French Republic – Mr. Eric Soulier, the Cultural and Cooperation Counselor of the French Embassy in Vietnam, visited and worked with the National Economics University.

Welcoming the Counselor, on behalf of the National Economics University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – President; Dr. Truong Tuan Anh – Co-Director of the French Vietnamese Center for Management Education in Hanoi (CFVG Hanoi); Dr. Pham Sy Long – Deputy Head of the International Collaboration Department; Dr. Tran Van Nhu – Academic Director of CFVG Hanoi.

During the working session, Mr. Eric Soulier extended his congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho on his position as President of the National Economics University, and expressed confidence that under the new President’s leadership, the University will continue to achieve new accomplishments, affirming its position as one of Vietnam’s leading higher education institutions in economics, management, and business.

The Counselor also expressed his sincere gratitude to the National Economics University for consistently accompanying, supporting, and creating favorable conditions for the French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education in Hanoi (CFVG Hanoi) to develop over the years. Building on this strong collaboration, the French side wishes to continue working with the National Economics University to expand management training programs, academic exchanges, and cultural interactions between the University and French higher education institutions, thereby contributing to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and France in the field of education.

On behalf of the National Economics University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho expressed his sincere gratitude for the affection, attention, and companionship of the Counselor and the French Embassy towards the University over the years. The President affirmed that the French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education in Hanoi (CFVG Hanoi) is a prominent symbol of effective and sustainable educational cooperation between Vietnam and France in management training for over three decades, and has contributed to training many generations of capable managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders with an international integration mindset.

Based on the achievements attained, both parties have agreed to continue promoting collaborative programs between the French Embassy, the National Economics University (NEU), and French academic partners in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral training, student exchanges, and academic research at CFVG Hanoi as well as at NEU. This collaboration aims to open up more extensive and practical cooperation opportunities in the future.

The meeting took place in an open, sincere, and meaningful atmosphere, coinciding with the National Day of the French Republic (July 14). This occasion not only allowed both parties to further strengthen the well-established cooperative relationship built over many years but also to agree on new directions for collaboration in training, research, and academic exchange. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to provide additional impetus to foster the cooperative relationship between NEU, CFVG Hanoi, and French partners, while also contributing to the enhancement of educational cooperation between Vietnam and France.
