Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, congratulated and commended students of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs on their achievements during the past academic year, which contributed significantly to NEU’s overall scientific research achievements.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong affirmed that scientific research not only provides an arena for students to practice research methods but also creates an environment in which they can demonstrate their confidence and creativity, equipping themselves with essential skills and experience. In addition, each project offers students the benefits of stronger teamwork, a commitment to in-depth inquiry and a wealth of knowledge. Assoc. During the 2023-2024 academic year, under the direction of the NEU Board of Presidents, the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs launched and implemented scientific research activities for all students in the Advanced, High-Quality, POHE and Business Analytics Programs to improve the quality of training for highly qualified professionals and contribute to identifying and nurturing talent.

The Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs organized seminars and training classes on scientific research methods in a variety of formats to give students opportunities to receive additional feedback and refine their research projects.

Student scientific research activities attracted widespread interest among students across the programs’ cohorts, with participation continuing to increase. Projects submitted to the competition received dedicated guidance from lecturers from institutes, faculties and centers and were recognized for their novelty, creativity, scientific value and practical relevance. The quality of student projects has continued to improve, with some resulting in articles published internationally and domestically and being developed into products for practical application.

In 2024, of the 73 projects submitted to the institute-level competition, 62 received institute-level scientific research awards (11 projects were ineligible for consideration due to violations of the rules). Notably, 57 projects were submitted to the university-level competition and earned numerous awards: four first prizes, 16 second prizes, 18 third prizes and 19 consolation prizes. These results are a source of pride and reflect the efforts, creativity and high caliber of the students and their supervising lecturers.
