Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, speaks at the seminar
Speaking at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong emphasized: “Throughout its nearly 70-year history, NEU has always attached importance to quality assurance and enhancement, from education and scientific research to consulting and academic activities. The University has implemented and continues to implement a range of coordinated measures to continuously improve the quality of its academic programs.”
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, rankings and accreditation results from domestic and international organizations confirm that NEU is among the higher education institutions in Vietnam with the largest numbers of accredited academic programs. Many of the University’s academic programs have been recognized by reputable international accreditation organizations, notably ACBSP (United States). NEU is also a member of AACSB, one of the world’s leading networks for quality assurance in business education.
In particular, the University ranks among Vietnam’s leading institutions in terms of academic programs accredited by foreign organizations; 21 programs managed by the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs have been accredited by ACBSP (United States). At the institutional level, NEU is currently a member of AACSB, an international accreditation organization in business and management education.
Regarding the Business Analytics program, the President noted that NEU began offering the program in 2019 and was one of the pioneering institutions in Vietnam. This seminar aimed to provide a forum for experts, businesses, and units within the University to review and assess the results achieved, while identifying strengths to build on and issues requiring adjustment and updates to ensure that the academic program keeps pace with the rapid development of the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and data science.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong also noted that the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has issued academic program standards for several disciplines, emphasizing digital competency requirements. Therefore, in refining and updating the Business Analytics program, units must ensure full compliance with these common standards while flexibly adjusting program content to meet the practical needs of the labor market.
On this occasion, the President of NEU thanked the agencies, organizations, businesses, and experts that have supported the University over time and expressed his hope for continued close cooperation in developing the University’s academic programs in general and the Business Analytics program in particular in the digital era.
