On October 10, 2026, at the National Economics University, a large number of alumni from Class 54 gathered for the “Reunion of Class 54 – The 10-Year Journey” program, marking a decade since their graduation. The reunion brought emotional moments as alumni returned to their beloved alma mater, reuniting with teachers, friends, and reflecting on their journey of growth, while also joining in the atmosphere of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the National Economics University (1956–2026).

The program was attended by: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – Party Secretary, University Director; MSc. Nguyen Hoang Ha – Head of the Political Affairs and Student Management Department; along with faculty members who taught and accompanied Class 54, representatives of the Liaison Committee, and numerous alumni currently working in various fields, agencies, units, and enterprises.

Inspired by the image of the “10-Year Journey,” the program recreated the journey from the early days of entering the lecture halls to when each member matured, chose their own path, and gradually affirmed themselves in work and life. After a decade, those friends have gained more experiences, taken on new roles and responsibilities, but memories of the lecture halls, the teacher-student bond, and friendships remain the ties that connect the members of Class 54.

The reunion was even more meaningful as it took place during the year NEU celebrates its 70th anniversary of establishment and development. Over seven decades, the University has trained many generations of staff, experts, managers, and entrepreneurs, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. In this journey, each generation of alumni carries the values nurtured by the alma mater, continuing to apply their knowledge, capabilities, and courage in various fields of work. For the alumni of Class 54, the return was also an opportunity to reflect on the journey they have traveled, further appreciating the foundation of knowledge and memories that have contributed to their personal growth.

The “Reunion of Class 54 – The 10-Year Journey” evoked many emotions about the teacher-student relationship, friendships, and youthful years under the roof of the National Economics University. After a decade with individual journeys, the reunion continued to extend the connection among Class 54 members, igniting pride and affection for the University. From shared memories and cultivated connections, generations of alumni continue to accompany, share, and contribute to the development of the NEU community, together looking forward to the milestone of the University’s 70th anniversary with fondness and high hopes.
