To mark Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), leaders of National Economics University (NEU), together with leaders representing its units, visited and congratulated the staff of the Department of Research Management this morning (May 16, 2025), recognizing and commending their positive contributions to the University’s development in science and technology.

University leaders visit and congratulate the Department of Research Management on Vietnam Science and Technology Day, May 18.

Visiting and congratulating the Department of Research Management were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, President of NEU; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of NEU; and leaders representing schools, departments, faculties, institutes, and centers.

May 18 holds profound historical significance through its association with President Ho Chi Minh’s words at the first Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Dissemination of Science and Technology in 1963: “Science must emerge from production and return to serve production and the people, with the aim of raising labor productivity and continually improving people’s lives.” These words have served as a guiding principle for the development of the nation’s science and technology for more than six decades.

At the meeting, University leaders commended and recognized the achievements of faculty, staff, and students across the University in advancing science and technology at NEU. They also recognized and highly valued the contributions and dedication of generations of staff at the Department of Research Management to the University’s scientific research activities in recent years.

University leaders also expressed their hope that the Department of Research Management would continue to build on its traditions, pioneer innovation, and inspire a passion for creativity throughout the NEU academic community, thereby gradually taking the University’s scientific and technological research to new heights and contributing effectively to the country’s sustainable development.

On the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day, May 18, we wish scientists, lecturers, experts, and all those engaged in research at NEU continued good health, abundant enthusiasm, and further achievements on their journey to create knowledge and contribute to the country’s development.
