From June 18 to 22, 2024, a delegation of faculty and staff from National Economics University (NEU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President, visited and held working meetings at Dongseo University and Hanbat National University in South Korea to discuss plans for student and lecturer exchanges in the coming period.

The delegation also included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Son Tung, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Dean of the Institute of International Education; Dr. Pham Sy Long, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation; and representatives of the leadership of the University’s units, along with faculty and staff.
NEU’s vision is to become a research-oriented, multidisciplinary university covering multiple fields, ranking among Vietnam’s top five universities and Asia’s top 100 universities in economics, management and business administration according to international ranking standards. With this vision, and amid accelerating integration and globalization, NEU places particular emphasis on international cooperation in education, viewing it as an important strategy for enhancing its educational capacity and raising its profile and brand worldwide. NEU therefore continually expands its partnerships and strengthens and develops joint programs with other universities abroad.
This important visit marked new developments in NEU’s relations with Dongseo University in South Korea and Hanbat National University, affirming their close ties and progress in educational cooperation. It also provided an opportunity for NEU to demonstrate its goodwill and desire to cooperate with more universities in South Korea and around the world.
As part of its working schedule, the NEU delegation met and held direct discussions with the leadership of Dongseo University in South Korea.
Receiving and meeting with the delegation on behalf of Dongseo University were Dr. Jekuk Chang, President; Dr. Kim Hee Kyung, Dean of the International Faculty; and representatives of the leadership of the university’s units.

The university provides an ideal learning environment for young people with a passion for technology, engineering and applied technology development. Hanbat National University is a center for training South Korea’s technology engineers. This is a major advantage as NEU and Hanbat National University cooperate to learn from each other and implement new programs at NEU’s College of Technology.
Hanbat National University currently maintains close partnerships with scientific research institutes and major technology corporations in Daejeon, and has links with more than 101 universities in 29 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and China. These connections offer opportunities for graduate students in NEU’s E-MBA program to study and visit businesses in South Korea.
