Cluster 2 of the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges comprises 12 higher education institutions and colleges, of which 11 registered to participate in the cluster-level performing arts festival in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital on October 10. NEU serves as the lead institution of Cluster 2.

Organized by the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, the performing arts festival is a highly significant activity demonstrating the Party organization’s leadership and direction in political and ideological work to build and promote national unity within Hanoi’s universities and colleges. It also offers each Party member in each Party Organization an opportunity to demonstrate a spirit of solidarity and shared purpose, strengthening their resolve to fulfill the goals set by their institutions’ Party Congresses and contributing to building a clean and strong political system in the capital. In addition, the festival helps promote patriotism through wide-ranging outreach and political education for faculty, staff, and students.

The festival also provides a valuable platform for generations of teachers, faculty, staff, and students across the institutions to showcase their talents and passion for singing, and to foster the creativity and dedication of groups and key individuals involved in cultural and performing arts activities within their institutions. It helps strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, promote solidarity, and honor the traditional values and admirable qualities of the people’s teachers.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, delivers remarks

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, noted that the cultural and performing arts festival organized by the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital on October 10 was a significant activity demonstrating the Party’s leadership and direction in political and ideological work. It also offered Party members an opportunity to foster solidarity and shared purpose, strengthening their will and determination to safeguard the Party’s ideological foundation and build a clean and strong Party Organization and political system in the capital.

The festival plays an important role in wide-ranging outreach and education for staff, Party members, lecturers, and students across Hanoi on the great historical significance and value of the liberation of the capital. It affirms the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, revolutionary traditions, patriotism, the spirit of great national unity, national pride and self-respect, and pride in the capital’s thousand-year cultural heritage.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President of NEU, expressed the hope that, as the cluster’s lead institution, NEU would see the teams participating in the festival give their best in every role, shine, and devote themselves fully to each performance, helping showcase the beauty of the capital’s age-old cultural values. He also hoped the festival would provide an opportunity for generations of teachers, staff, and students from the participating institutions to meet, exchange experiences, and learn from one another, promoting traditional cultural values while creating new and diverse cultural products that meet the needs of the institutions’ many employees for cultural creativity and enjoyment.

Distinctive performances presented by NEU at the festival

According to the judging panel, most teams proactively developed rehearsal plans, invested in staging, and carefully refined the artistic quality of each performance. Their program structures and arrangements stayed closely aligned with the theme and largely met the competition’s criteria and rules. Highly rated for both form and content, the performances together created a distinctive artistic space with a strong sense of connection.

After nearly a full day, the Cluster 2 Performing Arts Festival of the Party Organization of Hanoi Universities and Colleges concluded on a positive note. Following a period of enthusiastic rehearsals and dedicated, meticulous preparation, NEU’s teachers and students brought four diverse and distinctive acts to the festival. Their youthful, elegant performances earned them second prize overall, a proud contribution, however modest, to celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital on October 10.
