Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, President of NEU, noted that Sun Group has a well-known motto, “Beautifying lands,” and that one of the Group’s missions is to “Help build a new generation of Vietnamese people with the qualities, capabilities, and health to keep pace with the times.”

“Sun Group’s slogans, activities, and projects bear a distinctive mark, bringing new vitality to Vietnam’s tourism industry,” Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong observed.

According to Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, NEU was the first higher education institution in Vietnam to offer undergraduate education in Economic Management and Tourism Business. NEU has a tradition of expanding its network of business partnerships.

The President also emphasized that NEU recognizes tourism as one of the future pillars of Vietnam’s economy. In particular, combining tourism and real estate, as Sun Group is doing, is a sound approach.

“A partnership between a reputable educational institution and a leading enterprise such as Sun Group will certainly provide the best environment for students. During their studies, students will gain the best possible knowledge through opportunities for practical training at organizations such as Sun Group. We all strive to bring the greatest benefits and best opportunities to students,” said Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong.

Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Northern Regional Director of Sun Group’s Resort Tourism Division, delivers remarks.

According to Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Northern Regional Director of Sun Group’s Resort Tourism Division, developing a high-quality workforce is a goal that NEU itself and all businesses, including Sun Group, consistently pursue. She said that Vietnam’s resort tourism industry is currently seeking to recruit many talented young people.

“Sun Group hopes to welcome NEU students to its resorts and Sun World amusement parks. This provides opportunities for students to learn and gain practical experience, while also providing the Group with a high-quality workforce from NEU,” said the Northern Regional Director of Sun Group’s Resort Tourism Division.

Nguyen Thi Thu Trang expressed her hope that NEU and Sun Group would work closely together from this point forward. “In the coming stages of development, we hope that NEU and Sun Group will continue to work together and produce cohorts of high-quality graduates, contributing to our country a new generation of Vietnamese people who are ‘physically healthy, pure in spirit, and rich in knowledge,’” she emphasized.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi, Rector of NEU’s College of Business, introduces the majors and academic programs.

Under the cooperation agreement, Sun Group will welcome NEU students for visits, practical training, and internships, and assign personnel to guide and assess their practical training and fieldwork. The Group will also give recruitment priority to NEU students, particularly those with excellent academic records recommended by NEU and those who have completed practical training and internships at Sun Group facilities with internship ratings of good or higher.

NEU will also coordinate with Sun Group to organize training sessions or send students to participate in sessions on professional knowledge and skills based on Sun Group’s actual operations. These sessions will take place at the University or Sun Group’s business facilities.
