On behalf of the University’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, thanked parents and students for their interest in and for watching NEU’s 2024 full-time undergraduate admissions advising livestream.

Introducing NEU and providing an overview of its 2024 Full-Time Undergraduate Admissions Plan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong shared that the University was undergoing restructuring to become National Economics University—a smart, digital university developing toward multidisciplinary education across multiple fields. The University recently established three constituent colleges—the College of Technology, the College of Business, and the College of Economics and Public Management—alongside two schools, the School of Banking and Finance and the School of Accounting and Auditing. The University currently offers education in 10 fields, with 42 different majors.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong said that for the 2024 admissions cycle, NEU would develop six new majors, including five in technology (Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Software Engineering, and Information Systems) and one in tourism (Event and Entertainment Management).

To meet students’ needs, aspirations, and learning abilities, the University also develops a wide variety of academic programs. Alongside its traditional Vietnamese-taught academic programs, the University develops English-taught academic programs, advanced academic programs, high-quality academic programs, and POHE academic programs (professionally oriented higher education programs).

In addition to full-time academic programs leading to degrees awarded by NEU, the University partners with many universities ranked highly in world rankings to develop international joint academic programs. Specifically, NEU is cooperating with universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere.

In the coming period, the University will continue to devote all its resources to developing facilities and smart classrooms, strengthening staff training, and improving textbooks, curricula, and teaching materials, with the aim of reaffirming its leading position in the quality of education in economics, management, and business administration.

Regarding partnerships with corporations and businesses to facilitate students’ opportunities for workplace observation, internships, and job searches, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong said that NEU’s establishment and development over the past 70 years had consistently benefited from substantial contributions and cooperation from the community, agencies, organizations, and businesses (collectively referred to as the employer community). Cooperation between the University and the employer community spans many areas: designing and developing academic programs, organizing education and teaching, supporting students’ practical training and field experience, and many other collaborative activities in research and consulting. “NEU has the largest employer network in the country. In 2023, the University held its first Employer Community Conference, with more than 300 businesses participating. This affirms that the University always values cooperation and partnership with the employer community in education and training,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong said.

Addressing candidates wishing to apply for admission review at NEU in 2024, Assoc. Prof. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, extended his best wishes, hoping they would achieve good results in competency assessment exams, particularly the 2024 national high school graduation exam—the most important exam—and make wise, suitable choices in the upcoming admissions cycle.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Trieu, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, present information on the University’s 2024 full-time undergraduate admissions.

As the 2024 national high school graduation exam approaches, it is extremely important and necessary for candidates and parents to research and stay informed about admissions. NEU’s 2024 full-time undergraduate admissions advising livestream was held to meet students’ and parents’ information needs, promptly addressing questions and concerns about how to choose universities and majors that align with their aspirations and improve their chances of university admission, as well as the University’s majors and admissions methods for 2024.

In the next part of the advising session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Trieu, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Standing Member of the 2024 Full-Time Undergraduate Admissions Council, together with leadership representatives from the constituent colleges and schools, provided detailed information and answered questions about the University’s full-time undergraduate admissions approach, plans, and schedule; academic programs; changes to admissions methods in 2024; and matters such as choosing a major, career orientation, scholarship schemes, and tuition policies. Students and parents could also listen to the faculty members’ information and insights and engage with them directly by asking questions on Facebook.

Leadership representatives from the constituent colleges and schools share information and answer questions about the majors and academic programs offered by their respective colleges and schools.

Through varied interactions between the Admissions Advisory Committee, parents, and candidates, NEU’s admissions advising livestream provided up-to-date, accurate information, helping to keep high school students nationwide informed in a timely manner. This information will be useful as students strive to become NEUers in the near future.

Over the years, NEU’s admissions advising livestream series has become an advisory channel attracting the interest of many parents and 12th-grade students during the current final stretch of preparations. It is hoped that the program will serve as a bridge between NEU and students, answering questions about choosing universities and majors, employment, and the learning environment, alongside general admissions information for 2024.
