Nearly 55 years ago, answering the sacred call of the homeland, many lecturers and students of NEU set aside their studies and teaching to go to the front in the resistance war against the United States for national salvation. Among them, seven lecturers and 54 students heroically sacrificed their lives. Generations of the University’s faculty, staff and students will forever remember the contributions of these fallen heroes. The sacrifices of these students and lecturers added to the glorious history of our country and army and to the traditions of NEU.
With profound respect and gratitude, NEU undertakes many practical activities each year to provide encouragement and support and express appreciation to staff members currently working at the University who are war invalids or children of fallen heroes.
