Coordinating and working with the delegation in South Korea were Lee Ji Young, Executive Director of the KBS Institute of Culture and Arts Sciences; Michael (Chi Seung) WON, Korea–Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association; Dr. Ho Thi Long An, Lecturer at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies; and Dr. Tiger Kim, an economics expert.

Also representing NEU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Dinh Bao, Head of the Department of Personnel and Organization; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi, Rector of the College of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thanh Huong, Vice Dean in charge of the Institute of Postgraduate Education; and nearly 40 master’s students from the 12th cohort of the Executive MBA program.

To begin the visit and working trip to South Korea, master’s students in NEU’s Executive MBA program toured Hyundai Group headquarters and participated in consultations there. They learned about the Group’s establishment and development, from its initial entry into the shipbuilding industry to its emergence as a multinational group and one of South Korea’s five chaebols, with 17 companies operating in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Next on the agenda, master’s students from the 12th cohort of the Executive MBA program participated in a consultation and discussion session at YoungWooDSP, a high-tech company whose products include inspection equipment and semiconductor equipment. This is one of South Korea’s long-established areas of aesthetic technology. During the working session, the delegation held discussions and worked with SRMC leaders and toured one of the aesthetic centers that has successfully applied machinery and robots in aesthetic procedures.

A particular highlight of the program was a seminar organized by NEU in collaboration with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), South Korea’s national radio and television broadcaster, on “Business Cooperation Opportunities between South Korean and Vietnamese Enterprises.” At the seminar, master’s students delivered presentations on three topics: (1) South Korea–Vietnam business cooperation opportunities; (2) Hyundai’s business strategy; and (3) SRMC’s Marketing Mix strategy, with assessments and feedback from KBS Academy leaders, scientists, and managers in South Korea.

Field study is an important component of NEU’s Executive MBA academic program, designed to strengthen the connection between classroom teaching and management practices in localities and businesses. During this working trip, the delegation of staff and master’s students from the 12th cohort of the Executive MBA program also conducted field visits and learned from the practical experience of South Korean businesses. From multinational groups to small and medium-sized companies, all demonstrated innovation and the application of modern, advanced technology in production and business operations.

The working trip opened up substantial opportunities for cooperation between NEU and its partners in South Korea, while also bringing the field study trip for master’s students in the 12th cohort of the Executive MBA program to a successful conclusion.
