In late September, a delegation from National Economics University (NEU), led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of NEU, visited and met with representatives of two leading educational institutions in the Russian Federation: the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and HSE University – Saint Petersburg. The visit aimed to strengthen international cooperation in scientific research, conference organization, lecturer and student exchanges, and the development of joint academic programs among the institutions.

The delegation also included Prof. Dr. To Trung Thanh, Head of the Department of Research Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Xuan Que, Dean of the School of Banking and Finance; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Anh, Dean of the School of Accounting and Auditing; Dr. Pham Sy Long, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation; and leadership representatives from the University’s schools, departments, faculties, institutes, and centers, as well as faculty and staff.

Welcoming the delegation were Svetlana Solyannikova, Vice Rector for Research; Anatloliy Kislyakov, Director of International Cooperation; and Liliya Prikhodko, Head of the Department of International Relations at FinU.

Founded in 1919, FinU is one of the oldest and most reputable educational institutions in the Russian Federation, particularly in economics, finance, banking, management, and law. As a university under the Russian Government, FinU plays an important role in training high-quality human resources for the national economy and for financial and banking institutions in Russia and abroad.

On the same day, the NEU delegation held a meeting at the Faculty of Finance of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (FinU).

At the meeting, leaders of FinU’s Faculty of Finance and representatives of NEU’s School of Banking and Finance and School of Accounting and Auditing openly discussed various directions for future cooperation. The two sides agreed to promote student and lecturer exchanges, undertake joint research projects, jointly submit proposals for national-level research projects in Vietnam and the Russian Federation, and develop joint academic programs, including Vietnamese language programs, international experience programs, and short-term training courses in finance.
