National Economics University Delegation Visits and Encourages Cohort 65 Students of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs Studying National Defense and Security at the Hanoi Capital Command Military School
On the afternoon of August 14, 2024, a delegation from National Economics University (NEU) visited cohort 65 students of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs to offer encouragement and review their learning progress in the National Defense and Security course at the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Hanoi Capital Command Military School.
The delegation holds discussions and a working session at the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Hanoi Capital Command Military School.
The NEU delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice President and head of the delegation; Dr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the NEU Trade Union; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc, Dean of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs; along with representatives of the leadership of the University’s departments, faculties, institutes, centers and sociopolitical organizations, and faculty and staff.
Welcoming and meeting with the delegation on behalf of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Hanoi Capital Command Military School, were Colonel Phan Xuan Dung, Deputy Director of the Center; Colonel Ha Manh Dung, Deputy Director; and the Center’s teachers.
During the visit, the University delegation met with the Center’s leadership to discuss the students’ studies and communal living. The delegation also toured the facilities to learn about the students’ studies, health and daily living environment, checked on their well-being, offered encouragement, listened to their thoughts and aspirations, and shared experiences to help them make the most of their course in a military environment.
Colonel Phan Xuan Dung, Deputy Director of the Center
Discussing the students’ studies, health and daily activities, Colonel Phan Xuan Dung, Deputy Director of the Center, said: “Regarding training, the Center has worked closely with the Center for Physical Education to coordinate the course schedules, alternating classes in a sensible, systematic way. Regarding students’ daily lives and activities, the Center stays informed about each student through daily reports from the platoons. Through these reports, we also receive their feedback, thoughts and aspirations so that we can promptly answer questions and provide support, helping them focus on their studies and training with peace of mind. In particular, their health care is always our top priority. Every day, military medical personnel and company commanders check on each student to ensure that all students remain as healthy and safe as possible.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council
After listening to a representative of the Center’s leadership report on the students’ situation over the preceding period, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council, affirmed: “The University feels very reassured that our students are studying and training here, thanks to the enthusiasm, care and support of the Center’s teachers.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho also emphasized that the University continues to follow its students closely, listening to their thoughts, aspirations and experiences throughout their studies and training here.
Meeting and talking with the “soldiers” studying and training here, the faculty members saw how well the students had adjusted and integrated into military life after only a short time. This experience has helped them mature, develop many skills and positive qualities, and become more caring and united. The faculty members also encouraged the students to overcome difficulties and challenges through effort, determination and doing their utmost, upholding the spirit and pride of wearing a soldier’s uniform and embodying the bearing of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
The cohort 65 students of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality and POHE Programs were also delighted to receive the care, encouragement, motivation and meaningful gifts from the faculty members.
Seeing the cheerful, radiant smiles of the cohort 65 students, the delegation expressed confidence that they would successfully complete the National Defense and Security course here. Like the University’s many previous generations of students, they too would have wonderful memories of their time in military training, which is somewhat strict and disciplined, yet also filled with joy, happiness, closer bonds and greater care for one another.
We hope that this visit by faculty and staff will give our “soldiers” even greater motivation to study and train better. May they have a memorable experience and a truly meaningful time together before returning to their beloved University.
