Newly appointed Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi, Rector of the College of Business, delivers remarks.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors of 2025 and the staff members appointed to management positions, Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi, Rector of the College of Business, expressed deep thanks and gratitude to generations of NEU leaders, teachers, faculty and staff, and learners for building a supportive working and academic environment that has laid the foundation for the growth and development of today’s workforce. As the University approaches its 70th anniversary, this milestone was highlighted as a source of great pride and a motivation for the newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors to continue their efforts and contributions.
Alongside this sense of honor, Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi candidly acknowledged the challenges facing NEU in the new context, including the profound impact of science, technology and artificial intelligence on higher education; increasing competition in education; and greater expectations for leading experts in maintaining the University’s standing. Appointment to academic titles and management positions was seen not as a destination, but as a call for continued innovation, adaptation and more sustained effort.
Based on this understanding, Prof. Dr. Ta Van Loi affirmed the collective commitment of the newly appointed Professors, Associate Professors and managers to continuously strengthen their professional competence, uphold professional ethics and foster solidarity. They would also prioritize training and mentoring the younger generation to ensure continuity and the University’s sustainable development. Expressing gratitude to preceding generations was also emphasized as a responsibility and a core value in building and developing NEU.
