Cultural and Sports Exchange of the Association of Russian-Vietnamese Economics Universities
On April 9, 2026, at the Hanoi Finance and Banking University (FBU), a delegation of staff, faculty members, and students from National Economics University participated in the Cultural and Sports Exchange Day among Russian-Vietnamese Economics Universities.

Not only a cultural and sports event, the day also serves as a convergence of knowledge, enhancing academic connections and promoting collaboration between higher education institutions of the two countries.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Bien – Chairman of the Board of Hanoi Finance and Banking University extended a warm welcome to the delegates and international guests, emphasizing the enduring traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, built on a foundation of trust and long-term cooperation. Higher education plays a crucial role not only in training human resources but also as a cultural bridge, fostering understanding and expanding international collaboration.
According to him, the Association of Russian-Vietnamese Economics Universities is a cohesive academic community where educational institutions share a vision, enhance training quality, and develop human resources in the context of deep integration. Hosting the event is an opportunity for the university to demonstrate its responsibility, accompany the Association’s members, and create an open, culturally rich exchange space.
“We hope that each activity in the program not only showcases talent but also spreads the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and mutual respect. The core value of the event lies not in its scale but in the connections and emotions it fosters,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Bien emphasized.

Within the framework of the program, representatives from Russian partner universities and leaders of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi also delivered speeches, affirming the role of educational collaboration in strengthening bilateral relations.
The event brought together many prestigious universities from both countries, such as National Economics University, Banking Academy, University of Economics – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, along with leading economic universities in Russia. Additionally, the program featured participation from international units and cultural organizations like Cheongju University (South Korea), the Korean Sports Association in Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Club.

The festival featured a variety of activities, including a parade, Vovinam martial arts performances, and sports competitions such as football, volleyball, pickleball, and tug of war. These activities attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, creating an exciting and cohesive atmosphere.
As part of the program, an evening art exchange took place, consisting of three segments: “Vietnamese Identity,” “International Cultural Exchange,” and “Integration and Youth Aspiration,” showcasing the journey from preserving identity to cultural exchange and integration.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival is not only an annual cultural and sports exchange activity but also an opportunity to enhance connections between educational institutions, promoting substantial cooperation in training and academic research. These exchange activities are expected to deepen the relationship among the schools within the Association and strengthen the educational collaboration foundation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the future.
Through the festival, the organizing committee hopes to continue expanding connections, promoting cooperation in training and academic research among member schools, contributing to deepening the higher education relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
