Presenting the report on admissions results for the 2025 full-time undergraduate program, MSc. Hoang Thanh Ha, member of the Admissions Committee, Department of Academic Affairs, said that in 2025, NEU implemented a detailed admissions process comprising five phases and 31 steps. These included setting the strategic direction for admissions, publishing the admissions plan, providing admissions counseling, receiving and processing applications, conducting admission review, and confirming enrollment.

Regarding admissions results, 9,158 applicants were admitted through the national system for filtering duplicate offers, and 8,858 applicants officially enrolled at NEU, representing a rate of 96.7%. In addition, the University welcomed 51 international students from countries such as China, South Korea, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia.

A survey of applicants and parents showed very high satisfaction levels, with more than 97% satisfied before admissions results were announced and more than 95% satisfied upon enrollment.

To continue maintaining and improving admissions quality, NEU has developed a detailed plan for admissions in 2026. Specifically, phase one will begin during October–December 2025 with the development of a strategic direction and a preliminary admissions plan. The admissions plan will be officially published in March 2026. Subsequent phases include admissions counseling (January–June 2026), receipt of applications for admission review (May–June 2026), admission review (June–July 2026), and enrollment confirmation before August 15, 2026.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, speaks at the conference

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, President of NEU, acknowledged and commended the positive results the University achieved during the recent admissions cycle. According to Assoc.
